This story is part of a collection of Mother is Earth. This is the celebration of Earth and what it provides to our people. We must care for the land as we care for ourselves, the Earth is our mother its gives and provides nourishment to us all. We must respect her.

As a proud Mayi woman from North Western Queensland I want to share my love of art and interpretation of empowerment of my people.

The colours are those that cover my country “Mayi Country” I want to pay my respect to the land my people come from and Mother Earth, as she is our safety and our protector providing us all shelter.

We must connect back to her “Mother Earth” and live in peace and harmony with the land. Care for the land as it cares and provides for us.

I want to share this piece with love and harmony.
